Lovestains Song and Free Rock Camp and the Importance of Smiling!
Well, we finally got around to finishing a song by our new band, The Lovestains. You can hear it at our myspace page! Hope you dig it.
Bam and I have been working on a bunch of songs that are a little different to The Lovestains and we will put those up under a different band name eventually. When we do… there will be a lot of them!
Remember, Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp is coming up soon in November! I am honored and thrilled to be one of the Rock Star Counselors so if you’re attending you can request me as your counselor! You can also win a Rock Camp Rockstar Package Giveaway from Guitar Edge magazine!
Now on a personal note, my mom used to tell me, “If you greet the world with a frown, the world frowns back at you. If you greet the world with a smile, then the world will smile back at you.” This was something she’d learned first hand when she was in highschool. She was extremely smart, but had to wear thick glasses and had flaming red hair which didn’t exactly add up to being the most popular of the girls. But she practiced what she preached and not only was she popular in a wonderful way, she was also class valedictorian. Her words of wisdom flash through my mind at this time as it is about one week from the 4th anniversary of her death. I celebrate her life which was very full of vivaciousness and positive attitudes. She taught me the gift of laughter, she tried to teach me patience (not sure if I’ve learned that yet) and she always reminded me that when things were tough… “this too shall pass”. She and my dad were married for over 50 years and I feel so fortunate to have had loving parents who believed in me. (my dad died 3 years ago). As for my dad, he was always ready with an optimistic point of view. He was into organic gardening before it was trendy!!! (1970’s in Minnesota!) Of course, it is because of him that I am now proud to say, I’m an options trader. He really made me believe that I could teach myself ANYTHING! They gave me numerous gifts that last a lifetime like the love of knowledge and of course… the love of music. Rock on everyone and remember… smile.

here goes…
NO ONE IS UGLY IF THEY SMILE.
